The Community Action Fair
Saturday, April 5, 2008 from 10AM – 2PM


The Community Action Fair is a direct follow-up activity to the 10,000MEN: Call to Action held on October 21, 2007 in Philadelphia. During this historic event, the men in attendance made a commitment to strengthen their visible presence in the community by becoming Peacemakers, Coaches, Mentors, Block Captains and Volunteer Staff at Recreation Centers and with Youth Organizations.

Event Description:
April is National Volunteer Month. The Community Action Fair is being organized by the 10,000 Men: Call to Action in sponsoring partnership with leading volunteer organizations. These include the following: The United Way of Southeastern PA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Concerned Black Men, Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee, The Philadelphia Recreation Department, The Philadelphia School District and Town Watch Integrated Services. Our radio Media Partners include Clear Channel, Radio One and 900AM WURD.
